Bite Back has helped me grow in ways I didn’t expect. It’s given me a platform I wouldn’t have found anywhere else. And it’s changed how I see the world around me, especially the systems shaping our health.

The biggest thing Bite Back taught me is that change doesn’t happen all at once. It happens slowly, in conversations, meetings, surveys, ideas, setbacks, and small wins that slowly grow into something bigger, like ripples in the sea.

Junk food companies pester us until we give in, and flood our sports with unhealthy options. It's ridiculous. Wouldn't it be incredible to be free from their influence?

Junk food giants have the largest influence in impressionable spaces that allow people to be targeted – like Council-owned spaces, or sports sponsorship. I'd like to see a change to these harsh marketing strategies: a world where junk food isn't the only option.
