Word wizard and Bite Back in Schools champion Chloe has an unmatched appetite for change — a quality that saw her secure £4,000 in council funding for her school canteen. Since taking part in our programme, she’s now an official Youth Board member and an Ambassador for the next cohort of champions in her school. And the memory that keeps her fuelled? “Seeing students stand in the queue so long that by the time they get to the front lunch is already over and all that is left is a soggy, greasy slice of pizza that nobody wants to eat,” she says. “I want to see a world where every young person can get healthy, affordable food at school and where lunchtime feels like a break for students to chat with friends and recharge.”
