We Won At The Third Sector Awards!

Our powerful, youth-driven brand takes top spot at the prestigious event celebrating the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations operating in the non profit sector.

Our Brand Development Manager Rory Gibson reflects on our win at the Third Sector Awards.

Our youth activists are the forefront of our brand – their voices, their experiences, and their relentless pursuit of change are what make our brand so bold and impactful. This award is the perfect opportunity to recognise the power of our passionate young people across the UK, who are taking a stand against the injustices in our food system.

So, what are the Third Sector Awards and what did we win?

The Third Sector Awards are the creme-de-la-creme of award shows for all nonprofit organisations (just like the Oscars for movies!). It’s an incredible honour to be shortlisted for an award — let alone win! Our category was for the ‘Brand Development’ award, which looks at the work organisations have done to reinvent themselves, and put their missions at the front and centre of their brand identity.

Our rebrand, led by the incredibly talented team at the world leading branding agency, Wolff Olins, was never just about a new logo or a fresh look. It was about sharpening our message, amplifying youth voices, and using Junk Food Giants’ tactics against them. Our brand has taken the very marketing and branding tactics used to exploit us, to challenge big food companies on their own turf. Together, we’ve created a brand that speaks truth to power and puts young people at the centre of the fight for a healthier, fairer food system.

Our message is clear — junk food giants are manipulating our food environment, and it’s time to bite back. Through every brand campaign, social media post and action, we are shaping a future where young people can live healthier lives, free from the grip of junk food marketing.

The recognition from the Third Sector Awards shows the power of our movement and the change we’re creating, everywhere from our school halls to the boardrooms of food companies. We’ve built a brand that is unapologetically bold, fierce, much like the voices it is led by — young people themselves.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Third Sector Awards for this recognition and to Wolff Olins for helping us bring our brand to life in such a powerful way. The Third Sector Awards shone a spotlight on the incredible work of so many NGOs across the UK. Being in the company of organisations that are also making real change was an amazing experience. From tackling social inequality to protecting our environment, these groups are driven by passion, purpose, and the relentless pursuit of a better world. We’re honoured to be part of such a dedicated community of change-makers. Our young people have a big appetite for change, and with this recognition, we’re more determined than ever to bite back harder at the food giants that are endangering their future.
