Become A Bite Back Activist

Five Bite Back activists smiling and laughing together on Parliament Square in London

Do you want to join our movement, fight for the health of a generation, and make life-long friends? Are you between 14-16 years old and passionate about fighting for a fairer food system? If so, we’re looking for you!

Bite Back is a place where young people have a voice that is respected and heard. We share our ideas and our own experiences and create powerful opportunities for change-makers.

Becoming an activist as part of Bite Back means that you’ll build friendships with other awesome young activists while developing your skills as part of a national movement. And it’s totally free! All expenses are covered.

More information about our application form can be found here.

If you’re selected for our Youth Board you will be offered year-round training and support. This includes developing your leadership skills, campaigning, media and employability.

All activists meet as a group three times a year — in the spring half-term, at our epic summer Residential, and our end-of-year party in December. In between you’ll have regular online meetings where you will work on campaign planning and development, skills building, meeting inspirational speakers and one to ones with our youth team.

This might involve:

  • Speaking with or writing for local media — newspapers, radio or television.
  • Meeting your local MP, mayor, councillors or business leaders.
  • Organising a stunt, petition or campaign to raise awareness of the issues you care about.
  • Making creative social media content to spread the word about your campaign.
  • Doing research into the food system in your local community.
  • Developing your skills including: communication, team building, leadership and writing, amongst many others
