Chair of Trustees
Bite Back is looking for a new Chair of Trustees to help lead our next phase of growth and impact.
We are a youth-led movement challenging a food system that is stacked against young people’s health. Since 2019, we’ve worked with over 30,000 young people to drive change, influence policy, and build a powerful movement for a fairer food system.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to support and shape a fast-growing organisation at a pivotal moment working alongside our Board, CEO and young people to scale our impact and strengthen our governance.
About the role
As Chair of Trustees, you will provide strategic leadership to the Board, ensuring Bite Back remains youth-led, impactful, and financially sustainable.
The role includes:
- Supporting the organisation’s strategic direction and growth
- Ensuring strong governance and effective board performance
- Building a constructive relationship with the CEO
- Championing youth voice in decision-making
- Supporting external profile, partnerships and fundraising
Time commitment is approximately 1 day per month, including quarterly board meetings and occasional events.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has senior leadership and governance experience (e.g. Chair, Trustee, CEO)
- Brings strong networks across policy, fundraising or relevant sectors
- Is passionate about youth leadership and systemic change
- Is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion
- Can provide thoughtful challenge and strategic oversight
