This issue resonates with me as I have personally been affected by it. My friends aren’t always the healthiest; neither are my family, myself included. I know people suffering with health issues, negative body image, eating disorders and lots more.
Children from my school, every single day, spend all of their money on sweets, and chocolate, and fizzy drinks to indulge in when there are so many better things they could have bought. It would be fine if it was in moderation, but it rarely is.
People are really struggling. And the ‘big companies’ and corporations are targeting these vulnerable people for their own commercial gain, and it’s becoming too big of a problem now.
We young people need to take our right to a healthy life back and enforce it properly. It is so important for us young people to lead this as we don’t want adults telling us what’s important for us, as only we can say what we want, need and deserve.
