Edward
National Youth Board Member
Edward is 16 and lives in the rural county of Rutland. He’s really passionate about fighting food and health inequalities, and is resolute in his belief that everybody has the right to access good, healthy food easily. He’s also determined to help tackle the climate crisis, and he won the BBC’s ‘Regenerators Hall of Fame’ award for his work in that area.
He joined Bite Back because he was angry about how hard it was to access good quality food, and because he witnessed everyday stark inequalities in the school canteen, with better quality food being far higher priced than junk food like cakes and biscuits. Joining Bite Back has helped to give him a voice on a wide range of different food and health related issues.
